Description: This article presents a descriptive study of the current situation of small and medium industrial company that operate in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, with the aim of knowing the degree of application of the existing regulations in occupational safety and hygiene. To do this, taking as a reference the mexican official standards STPS-001, 002-STPS, STPS-017 and STPS-021, it was designed and applied a questionnaire tool to obtain information on conditions of work in the field of health and safety. The way in which the selection of companies was carried out was through the Internet of the office of economy in Mexico, taking as a target population the list of small and médium sized enterprises in the industrial sector, published on the web site. Subsequently, small and médium sized enterprises were selected through stratified sampling. Posteriormente, a través de un muestreo estratificado se seleccionaron las pequeñas y medianas empresas.APPLICATION OF THE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY METHOD IN THE EXPLORATION OF COAL DEPOSITShttp://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12984/55222021-05-29T06:51:07ZTitle: APPLICATION OF THE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY METHOD IN THE EXPLORATION OF COAL DEPOSITS; APLICACIÓN DEL MÉTODO DE RESISTIVIDAD ELÉCTRICA EN LA EXPLORACIÓN DE YACIMIENTOS DE CARBÓN
Description: The direct current resistivity method is a technique used in mining, geohydrological, geothermal and geotechnical prospecting. This method is based on the injection of electric current (direct or low frequency) in the ground and on the measurement of the potential differences associated with the passage of the current through subsoil areas with different electrical conductivity. In this work, this method was implemented using Dipolo-Dipolo and Schlumberger multielectrode arrangements, in a mining lot in San Javier, Sonora; with the objective of determining the possible presence of anomalies associated with coal in the subsoil.; El método de resistividad de corriente directa es una técnica utilizada en la prospección minera, geohidrológica, geotérmica y en problemas de geotecnia.
Description: Since the project of the human genome and the subsequent publication of the sequence of more than 20,000 genes that comprise it, the study of the genomes of many organisms and their editing have been a trend since then, being proposed and discovered new tools that allow the editing of DNA. CRISPR/Cas system whose natural function is a defense of bacteria against viral infections, ended up being a breakthrough in the field of genomic sciences, allowing genomic editing at a level of precision greater than the techniques that preceded it. The applications of this system that has been emphasized in recent years, are gene therapy and the Development of alternative antiviral treatments. Contamination of surface currents by mining-metalurgical toxics in the South-Sonora hydrological regionhttp://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12984/55232021-05-29T06:51:44ZTitle: Contamination of surface currents by mining-metalurgical toxics in the South-Sonora hydrological region; CONTAMINACIÓN DE CORRIENTES SUPERFICIALES POR TÓXICOS MINERO-METALÚRGICOS EN LA REGIÓN HIDROLÓGICA SONORA-SUR
Description: Mining use and produce large amounts of hazardous substances that often reach surface waters streams. Sonora, been a Mexican state with very large active and inactive mines located near the rivers, presents a high potential for contamination of its water surface bodies. The purpose of this study was to identify those mines with more possibilities to contaminate the surface water currents of the South-Sonora hydrological region using a modification of the EPA’s methodology to carry out Preliminary Risk Assessment (EPA,1991). The mines that represent higher risks were: 1) in the Sonora River Basin, “Buenavista del Cobre”, “Cerro Prieto”, “Mercedes”, “Santa Elena” and the inactive mine “Amelia”; 2) In the Yaqui River Basin are “La India”, “Mulatos”, “La Bonancita”, “Luz del Cobre”, “La Caridad” and the abandoned mines “Pilares” and “Cumobabi”.; La actividad minera genera enormes cantidades de materiales peligrosos que suelen llegar a aguas superficiales.
