Description:	The development of accounting as a profession is in line with the demand of the regions and their types of business in an evolution shared with the national and regional economic plan. In this work, it presents the emergence, development and evolution of the accounting in the country, and the state of Sonora, through a historiographic study, result of an exhaustive work of historical sources, interviews and iconographic consultation of events Various related, forming part of a research project of history of accounting between two institutions: the National Institute of Anthropology and History and the University of Sonora. El desarrollo de la contabilidad como profesión va de la mano con la demanda de las regiones y sus tipos de negocio en una evolución compartida con el plan económico nacional y regional. En este trabajo, se presenta el surgimiento, desarrollo y evolución de la contaduría en el país, y el estado de Sonora, mediante un estudio historiográfico, resultado de un trabajo exhaustivo de fuentes históricas, entrevistas y consulta iconográfica de sucesos diversos relacionados, formando parte de un proyecto de investigación de Historia de la Contabilidad entre dos instituciones: el Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia y la Universidad de Sonora
